Keyword Density

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

Keywords density should range between 1-2%, for the main keywords of the page (for each 100 words, use the main keyword one or two times), each secondary keyword should be used less than the main keyword of the page. Do not include the Meta title and description when calculating keyword density (only main text of the page and its headers [H1+H2]).

Use of Synonyms

The use of synonyms or words from the same “topic” is important. For example: If you write about jewelry it is a good idea to mention rings, pendants, necklace, earrings, fine jewelry, designer jewelry, etc.

Language and Style

Remember that not all your readers are native English speakers. Keep sentences short and use clear and simple words. Style of text may vary and it is advisable to use different “voices” when you compose different texts.

n a recent article, A Freelance Writer’s Basic Guide to SEO, we had several requests asking how SEO knowledge can be used in practice, when writing articles. Naturally, we are only too happy to oblige.

The methods I am going to talk about in this article have not been learnt in online courses, nor have they been taken from theory manuals you can download for a price on the Internet. Everything I am going to discuss has been gained from hard experience, both as a writer (over 10 years), and as an I.T. consultant (University degree and 18 years in the business).

Meta Title and Description

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

A Meta Title must not exceed 64 characters (including spaces) and MUST include the main keyword or keywords with modifiers if possible. The main keyword needs to appear at the beginning of the title.
A Meta Description must not exceed 150 characters (including spaces) and should use as many keywords as possible, including those used in the Meta Title. Do not repeat more than twice on the same keyword on the Meta title.

Titles (H1 and H2)

H1 is the main title of the page. Title length should not exceed 68 characters including spaces. It must include the main keywords and must be different from the Meta Title. H2 is a secondary – smaller – title. You may use as many H2 as you need on a given page and they should incorporate keywords and be relevant to the text in the paragraph below them.

Text Length

If text length is defined by characters it should be calculated including spaces. If it is defined by words, keep in mind that it is not crucial if the text is slightly longer or slightly shorter. Just maintain a good or moderates text length in your writing. Remember that you are not just writing for search engine alone. It is human being that will read your article in the end

How To Write SEO Article-2

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

To write a good seo article you simply need to include that keyword in the title, throughout the body, keyword or tags, and if you’re submitting to article directories you want to include it in the author resource box. That’s the ultimate basics. You want to include that keyword phrase once or twice with every paragraph you write. There is a keyword threshold where if you do to many keywords, it will actually hurt your rankings.

The next thing you do to write a good seo article is include a few variations of that keyword phrase within the body. Use it in your headings to introduce your next paragraph. So you would simply do three or four different headers above paragraphs which include the that keyword phrase. You want to use a H1, H2, and an H3 tag. You also want to use your keyword phrase in bold, italics, underline and also have an internal link. The easiest way to do this is to just link back to the article your writing now.

Is your head spinning yet? It’s okay, we’re almost done. A few final pieces left to writing seo articles is to include include the keyword phrase in the first and last sentence in the article. The final component is to include an image that has alt text with that keyword phrase. In this case I would select an image that relates to the article and put seo articles in the alt text.

How To Write SEO Article

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

If you’ve been wondering how you can rank really high in search engines with seo articles, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve been writing seo articles for a little under a year now and I have more 1st page google rankings than I can count. The truth is that it is extremely simple with a blog. Now of course there are many other factors that play in to ranking really high in the search engines, but that is an entire training in itself. To write seo articles is just one piece of ranking well.

SEO Articles Are About Focus

The biggest thing about writing seo articles is that you have to focus on a keyword phrase. Notice in this article I keep saying the phrase seo articles. Well, more than likely when I’m finished writing this article and go through the rest of my process, it will rank well for the phrase seo articles. There again, it’s not completely predictable because so many other things influence your rankings, even when you can write really good seo articles.

So you start by selecting a keyword phrase that you can write about and actually have it make sense. Nobody wants to read an article that doesn’t read well or provide something of value for the reader. It also doesn’t make any sense to write an seo article that can rank really well and then nobody reads it because it sucks.

Will the Good Content Writers Replace the Need for Tailored SEO Programs?

Friday, September 9th, 2011

Providing the most tailored search engine optimization programs might be the main mission of a successful seo agency, but with so many companies describing their services as tailored, the word is becoming a cheesy catch-all phrase that people with an online presence are going to stop taking so seriously. Some recent blogs have been commenting on the possibility of people ditching the seo agency for a good content writer.

When you think about it, if the writing on blogs is well-researched, has great personality, and attracts a distinguishable audience consistently, then there really is no need for tailored search engine optimization servicing. Employing a seasoned web-content writer, who produces the ideal traffic flow to your website, might just be that much easier than scoping out the seo services you need and finding a reputable company charging a reasonable price point.

The richest seo content writer will consistently help establish authority and a memorable image for almost any website. Increased traffic because of good content on a website could very well be much more rewarding than increased web traffic because of figuring out the right mix of seo servicing. Some seo agency content writing companies out there even provide blog management services, where one the company works for your website to recruit one good writer to write blogs that give your website a consistent voice.

Since seo content writing companies employ bloggers that are usually considered ghost writers, you the blogger or company will own all the writing—written content the company produces for you. Some companies give you the option of supplying them a list of topics, titles, hypertext, etc, for the writers to use or the company can facilitate those on your behalf. When they facilitate on your behalf, it takes some of the leg work out of figuring out what your website’s content will consist of most.

Increased readership to your website through the recruitment of a good seo content writer might just be the turning point for the most technologically savvy-minded people to curb their reliance on traditional seo agencies. At least until another shift in search engine optimization tools takes the world by storm.

SEO and Keyword Density

Sunday, June 26th, 2011

SEO is the crux for deriving traffic to a webpage or a website. As the name indicates, SEO relies on optimizing certain aspects of a webpage such that it appears in the top listings of the search engines when someone triggers a search.

Keyword density plays a very important role in search engine optimization. Lets briefly account for the keyword density factor that affect the page rank for SEO.

Keyword Density

Keyword is the word or a phrase that is most widely used or searched by the users. It is something on which users would like to perform a search. It can be a single word or multiple phrases. Earlier, this trick of keyword was abused, and irrelevant sites too started getting placed with high page ranks by simply stuffing the keywords in their text. Hence the search engine’s search algorithm too has been changed and now the search results does not solely depend on keyword factor. Nevertheless, its ideal to use the appropriate keywords in the webpage or text more than twice as long as it leave the chances for spamming. There are free to use keyword suggestion tools available online. Google’s Adwords Keyword tool and the WordTracker are some of them.

3 Reasons Your Blog Isn’t Making The Grade

Wednesday, May 11th, 2011

You may have started with the best of intentions but you’ve been finding it increasingly difficult to drum up the necessary enthusiasm to do anything with your blog these days. This is the short road to a failed blog. You might have thought that what you had to say was really good, and maybe it is, but sometimes that doesn’t mean a thing. You can have the best blog in the world but if nobody is aware that it exits then you’re wasting your time. Just because you built it doesn’t mean they’re going to visit.
Maybe you’re writing lacks the necessary flair that makes it attractive enough. You may be a technical writer but anyone can read basic information. People read novels, books, and authors because of the personality they hear behind the page. If you’re not approaching your writing in a unique or interesting way then you’re not going to attract the traffic that you want. The idea here is to convert casual readers to loyal fans.
If you’re not writing guest posts on other blogs then you’re doing yourself a great disservice. Consider this as a kind of free PR. By writing on other blogs as a guest, you’re getting your personality out there and connecting to an entirely new network of users that might not have otherwise ever heard about you. You’re trying to sell yourself and neglecting this avenue is a bad choice. You should also be commenting on other blogs. This is not a waste of time. Seeing yours as the only opinion that matters is a quick way to fall into an information vacuum. Stay up to date and active in the blogosphere.
A reason for many bloggers’ failure is actually to no fault of their own. They might not have even done anything wrong. That is, except for not asking for help. Online reputation management is a great tool to increase the positive attention your blog is receiving and bump up your online profile. Search rankings are everything these days and you may have an excellent blog but the idea is that you need to connect with people that would be interested in what you have to say. You can do this by seeking guidance and assistance from companies that will point you in the right direction and help you along the way.
Try some of these approaches and try not to get disheartened. If you’ve been contemplating giving up because you’re just not seeing the excuse to keep it going, use some of these devices and see how it works. It might be just the thing you need to revitalize you lagging numbers and get your blog noticed.

Finding that perfect niche to blog about

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

I currently have three blogs. All of them I have interest in, but they’re not something I can blog on continuously like I would like to. I blog on them as something comes up for me to blog about or I have to research and find information that relates to the topic for me to blog about.
My husband is a golf fanatic and I tried to encourage him to start a blog about golfing. He plays all of the time, so he can blog about his experiences with the game. He watches golf tournaments, so he can blog about his opinion of them as he watches them. He always looks at instruction DVD’s, so he can document what he’s learned from viewing those DVD’s. He’s gon on golf trips with his friends, so he could talk about the fun they had. Last, he simply just goes to the golf range and hit practice balls!
There’s so much he could blog about and golf is a good topic to get good advertisement from adsense on. I even told him I would be his blogger if he would just tell me what to blog about. He simply does not have the interest.
As I mentioned, I have blogs and they’re blogs of interest, but I’m still in search of my passion that I can write about easily, don’t have to research for blog information, choose a topic that’s not over saturated in the internet market and have good adsense advertisement to go with it. I think that will give a good blogging career!
