Three SEO common mishaps
Monday, August 17th, 2009SEO work can/will be daunting if you have no clue of what you’re getting into. You have to know what you are doing and be prepared for mistakes to correct them. I will list three common mishaps that many SEO workers fall prey to.
- Ignoring your homepage. This is one huge mistake that many do. They don’t see the wrong in neglecting their homepage. This is the page where people will go to see your inbound links. Very important.
- Not monitoring your status. If you don’t do it, then who else will? You should keep track of the page rankings, RSS feeds, searches, and the traffic you bring in. Keep note of these things so you will know where you’re at.
- Putting all your hope into your company is also bad. I’m not saying you shouldn’t put hope into, but you shouldn’t put all of it in. You have to think of worst case scenerios and the what if’s. Problems happen all the time so you have to be prepared for that.
